Grieving ❤️‍🩹

In February, we found out that my beloved cat Mewzi had a brain tumor. We acted quickly, and she had surgery, but the damage was too severe. Mewzi passed away the next day. I’m writing a blog post about our time together, but suffice to say, she was my everything, and I’ll be grieving her loss for a long time. Rest in peace, Mewzi.

Job promotion 💼

Last July, I joined a startup non-profit called Soul Seated to lead the design team in creating evidence-informed, spiritually grounded experiences that promote emotional clarity, belonging, and compassionate action. Recently, I was promoted to lead our product team as well! My new title is Director of Transformative Design and Product.

I’ve held hybrid design/product roles many times in my career, so I have a lot of opinions about how typical tech product management practices punish users and harm businesses. I’m overjoyed to be in a position where I can address those shortcomings by taking a design-led approach with my team. I believe we have a unique opportunity to deliver something truly transformational for the BIPOC and underrepresented emerging adults we serve.

Our Alpha proof-of-concept program is scheduled to launch in August 2026.
